National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day: How Your Purchase Helps a Dog in Need
Celebrating the Dogs Still Waiting
Every year, National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day reminds us of something simple but powerful.
Not every dog has found their forever home yet.
While many of us get to celebrate life with our pets by our side, there are still countless dogs in shelters waiting to be seen, chosen, and loved.
At Willadore Collar Co., this day means a little more to us. Our brand was built on the love we have for our own dogs, and we believe every pet deserves that same kind of love.
🐶 Turning Every Order Into Something Bigger
This year, we’re celebrating in a way that gives back directly to shelter pets.
For every collar purchased on April 30th, 2026 we’ll donate one collar to a shelter pet in need.
That means your order doesn’t just go to your dog. It helps another dog feel seen while they wait for their forever home!
Something as simple as a collar can:
- Help a dog stand out
- Make them feel cared for
- Give them a better chance at adoption
📦 Where These Collars Go
We’ll be donating collars to local shelters in our community to support pets currently waiting for adoption.
Want to support a shelter near you instead?
You can!
At checkout, simply leave a note with your preferred shelter’s name and address, and we’ll send a Prism collar there! We'll include with a note saying it came from you!
🐾 Why This Matters
Shelter environments can be overwhelming for dogs. Even small touches, like a bright friendship beaded collar, can make a difference in how they’re seen by potential adopters.
It’s not just about accessories.
It’s about visibility, dignity, and care.
And most importantly, it’s about giving more dogs the chance to find their person.
💛 How You Can Help
There are so many ways to make an impact this National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day:
- Adopt a pet if you’re ready to welcome one into your home
- Support your local shelter through donations or volunteering
- Share adoptable pets on social media
- Or shop with purpose—knowing your purchase helps a dog in need
